SANTIAGO THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

The Santiago Theological Seminary was conceived in 2014, in the association of five churches in the city of Santiago De Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic; who developed a ministerial training program for future pastors called "Timoteo". This program contemplated covering the teachings, care and activities required by a young leader at the beginning of his ministerial life, during his theological preparation, and in the stage after his preparation for his insertion into the ministry. The Timothy program partnered with a committee of pastors and professors from the city of Philadelphia, United States, under the leadership of Dr. Manny Ortiz, who with great passion and commitment promoted the project by engaging a group of American professors and pastors. It was then that it took the form of a formal theological seminary project.
In this way the STS becomes part of the Christian Foundation TRAED (Christian Foundation for Transformation and Education) based in the Dominican Republic; and also of the American foundation ACTS (Advancing Christianity Through Service) based in Philadelphia, United States. Subsequently, the now Santiago Theological Seminary, whose board was composed of two committees, the Philadelphia and Santiago, is associated with Miami International Seminary (MINTS), in order to obtain more formality and academic accreditation.
